The Challenge

Johnnie Walker’s branding is timeless and elegant. At the time of this conceptual redesign,¬†their website (to the right) was clunky, full of content boxes, and nonresponsive. They needed a design that was less cluttered and gave a relaxing feeling to their products.

The Solution

Though we used the same colors and similar fonts, we fundamentally changed the aesthetic and user experience. We accomplished this by:

  • Abandoning the box layout and creating free floating text regions
  • Using full screen imagery to focus on the product and create an immersive atmosphere
  • Using bold sans serif capitalized fonts to convey confidence
  • Also using thin sans serif fonts to convey elegance
